In Mexico, the remnants of Earl over central Mexico will interact with Invest 93E, and area of showers and thunderstorms between the Gulf of Tehuantepec and Manzanillo. These systems are likely to merge as they move westward through southwestern Mexico and have a 60 percent chance of tropical storm development in the next 48 hours. This will maintain shower and thunderstorm activity for southern and western Mexico. Areas of heaviest rainfall with this system are anticipated over the southwestern coast of Mexico from Acapulco to Puerto Vallarta. Mexico City will see showers and thunderstorms on Monday with strong and gusty winds and highs in the lower 70s(F)/ lower 20s(C).

In the west, Tropical Storm Ivette is currently located in the Eastern Pacific about 1375 miles east of Hilo, Hawaii and maintains west-northwest movement at 10 mph with 50 mph (43 knot) winds. By Monday, this system is expected to track westward and remain at tropical storm strength with winds between 39 and 73 mph (33 to 63 knots).
