During 2025, the citizens of Puerto Vallarta will enjoy a new initiative of the Municipal Government since there will be a totally free Mobile Medical Unit.

A free mobile medical unit is a vehicle equipped with tools, medical equipment and trained health personnel that travels to different communities to offer basic and specialized medical services.

Its main objective is to provide accessible and timely medical care to people who, for geographical, economic or social reasons, have difficulties accessing clinics or hospitals.

What is a free mobile medical unit for?

  1. Primary Health Care


● Performs general medical consultations to diagnose common diseases.

● Provides follow-up to patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension.

         2. Prevention and Early Detection


● Performs preventive check-ups such as measuring blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol.

● Detects diseases such as breast cancer, cervical cancer and tuberculosis early
