"We are looking for ways in which fixed and semi fixed merchants have options for places and more support, so we have organized ourselves to establish a local market here in Bucerías, where tourists and people of the town, can buy our products in only one place" pointed out, José Luis López Soto, leader of the new organization called Gremio Unido de Comerciantes y Anexos de Bahía de Banderas AC, which is in a protocolization process before the Public Notary for the next days.
He explained that this idea was born thanks to the generosity of one of the merchants that belongs to this Guild, the lady, who provided access to a property that is located in the center of Bucerías, where according to the measurements made, there will be space for 30 stands of 3 by 3 meters and wide corridors so that the people are able to walk easily.
He added that as merchants they have observed that when tourists get to Bucerías, be them national or foreign, they ask if there is a market and we don't have a market here, he commented after pointing out that among his mates there are various types of businesses like the sale of fruit and vegetables, which is of vital importance, sale of food, crafts, clothes, jewelery and more, then, he said, with this idea it was decided to conform the organizatio "to support each other and do what we want, which is the local market of Bucerías" he said.
Finally, he pointed out that they hope to materialize this project in the following day, after cleaning and conditioning the terrain, because they wish to take advantage of the high season, as well as be ready for the next vacations of Easter and Holy Week, in this sense, he indicated that they will try to make the stands presentable, typical, but above all, he said, that the place is clean because that attracts foreign and local tourists.
"We have already agreed on how we are going to work and it is going to look very nice, I am very excited because this is what we want, to work for the people and that the people see that we have a little market here in Bucerías because it is necessary. Our countrymen come to the beach and they can't find were to buy, so they go to the malls where they sell at a higher price, and here we have the opportunity to offer a lower price in a town environment" he concluded.
