evaSeveral dailies both domestic and international have published that the celebrity is expected to say “I do” at the exclusive Casa Aramara in Punta Mita.

Eva Longoria, of Mexican descent, and José “Pepe” Bastón, who is currently the president of Content and Television for Grupo Televisa, have reportedly chosen the Riviera Nayarit for their upcoming nuptials in February 2015.

Their chosen venue is expected to be Casa Aramara in Punta Mita. The news was first reported in the pages of the prestigious Life&Style magazine and by journalist René Franco on the show “La Taquilla,” just after the actress visited the set of “Voz México” to say hello to her friend Ricky Martin.

The Desperate Housewives star has already visited the Riviera Nayarit; in fact, she was there when her friend Mario López got married in 2012, which is when she fell in love with Mexico’s Pacific Treasure.

Punta Mita is the most exclusive development in Mexico and as such has positioned itself on an international stage as a magnet for celebrities on a global scale. Casa Aramara, owned by Joe Frances, is known to be a vacation getaway for several well-known names including socialite Kim Kardashian.

Several media with domestic and international circulation have picked up on and run with the rumor, even though the couple has been mum on the subject. Whether it happens or not, the implied exposure for the destination is of great importance to its positioning both in Mexico and around the world.

With Bonnie stuck in 1994, Vampire Diaries actress Kat Graham has some time to kill. Recently, Kat left her flannel shirts and Doc Martens in Atlanta and jetted off to Villa La Estancia Riviera Nayarit in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico for a little weekend vacay.

Kat spent a relaxing weekend at Villa La Estancia Riviera Nayarit, showing off her flawless figure in a sexy black bikini while walking along Banderas Bay. She even took a tour of nearby Puerto Vallarta! So much better than being stuck in 1994 Mystic Falls with psycho murderer Kai, right?
Check out these stunning pics of Kat on the beach turning heads in her itsy bitsy teeny weeny black bikini. We love how she accessorized her beachside look with a black fedora and red tribal coverup — so chic!

Started in December, 2000, the Great Chili Cook-off began as a way to get cruisers "cooking for a cause" - the event drew chili cookers from all over Banderas Bay to offer their best chili, often with themes such as "Ugly Betty" and "Cowboy Chili". Every year since then, the Cook-off continues to be one of the most popular events in the Banderas Bay area, often generating thousands of dollars for local charities.

Originally, the Great Chili Cook-off was held in the parking lot of the Vallarta Yacht Club, the organizer of the event. Last year, the event was moved to the Marina Nuevo Vallarta Malecon, and was changed to also showcase the excellent restaurants in the area

This year the Vallarta Yacht Club is proud host of the 2nd Annual Taste of Nuevo and 14th Annual Great Chili Cook-off on December 6th at the Marina Nuevo Vallarta Malecon, 4 - 8 PM.

The Chili Cook-off is an invitation for commercial and non-commercial teams (including non-profit organizations) as well as local restaurants to challenge each other to create the most popular chili. Two separate winners are announced the night of the event in December.

The Taste of Nuevo is an event for participating restaurants from all over Riviera Nayarit area to sample their best dish for attendees.

Some restaurants choose to offer samples of both their best chili recipe and another favorite restaurant dish to the some 400 attendees. Guests purchase sampling tickets for $10 pesos which can be used for chili tasting, restaurant favorite menu item sampling or used toward the purchase price of bottled water, soft drinks, beer, wine and margaritas. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful Nuevo Vallara Malecon, seeing over 40 decorated booths of restaurants and chili cookers

All proceeds from the event are split between the Vallarta Yacht Club's two charities "Families at the Dump and Navy League (Toys for Tots).

  • The leading minds in tech will be meeting at the St Regis Punta Mita Resort along with entrepreneurs, new talent and government authorities to analyze the economy, the technology and the cultural tendencies that impact tech innovation in Mexico and Latin America.

Latin America’s annual innovative tech conference, the upcoming MITA TechTalks, was announced during a press conference at the St Regis Punta Mita Resorts. The event will take place November 9-11 in Punta Mita, Riviera Nayarit.

This meeting will bring together some of the leading minds in the entrepreneurial tech ecosystem in Mexico and Silicon Valley. There will be approximately 150 attendees, among them, entrepreneurs, new talent, government authorities and businessmen.

Lynne Bairstow, the founder of the MITA Institute (Mita Institute and Tech Accelerator), Carl Emberson, the GM of St Regis, and entrepreneur Hilda Camacho, were in charge of announcing the event.

“It’s a real pleasure to host this event once again here in Punta Mita in the Riviera Nayarit,” said Carl Emberson. “When one looks back at the destination over the past few years it’s possible to see that events of this kind not only generate interest in the destination, but also generate business for the people who live and work in the area.”

During the MITA TechTalks 2014 the attendees will seek to analyze the economy, the technology and the cultural tendencies that impact tech innovation in Mexico and Latin America.

Punta Mita is the second home to many leaders in the tech and venture capital industries from the US and Canada. This phenomenon is due in large part to the excellent air connectivity between the Riviera Nayarit and North America, as well as the serenity and service industry leaders seek, all offered by this very exclusive tourism development in Mexico.

With events such as these the markets continue to diversify in the meetings and incentives segment. Taking in consideration the implied coverage the MITA TechTalks will have in over 10 countries, it is inherently a genuine tool for the promotion and positioning of the destination.

It is expected the audience viewing the event stream will surpass the 20 thousand viewers that checked in last year via the Web. To follow the live stream, please visit the official page at http://mitainstitute.com.
