Operating breathalyzer "Saving Lives" continues with good results

01From a total of 99 tests, 53 drivers returned results above .20 percent alcohol in the blood aspirated air.

The municipal government of President Ramón Martínez Guerrero through the sub Municipal Roads, continues to implement operating breathalyzer called 'Saving Lives', which aims to prevent accidents resulting from alcohol intake.

This week finally took out the operation number 124 in which a total of 99 tests, of which 53 yielded results above .20 percent alcohol in the blood aspirated air, as provided by law were made and Mobility Transportation of the State of Jalisco, so drivers were arrested.

This device is applied to both drivers of private vehicles and public service, in order to safeguard the physical integrity and property, both the driver and his companions and avoid damage to third parties who may be loss of life.

Of the 53 drivers arrested, only three were taken to the local cell, the rest paid in place to gain access to benefits provided by law, a discount ranging from 20 to 50 percent. This measure does not imply that the vehicle is returned to them at the time, until the following Monday prior proceedings before the Municipal Court.

During the operation, officers roads invite drivers to respect speed limits and comply with security measures, making them aware on the importance of preventing accidents that pose a physical or property damage.

The implementation of the operational 'Saving Lives' will continue every weekend, as our city receives thousands of visitors and the security of these and Vallarta is paramount to this administration.
