Puerto Vallarta Ensures Tourist Safety During Spring Break 2014

springOver 500 elements of different corporations and Preventive Police Commissioner and Roads, provide security to national and international visitors during Spring Break Vallarta, where the visit of more than 13,000 American students is expected.

The Operational Plan of 30 days, which began on March 15 and will end on April 13, is divided into coordination work, deterrence and prevention by elements of the Preventive Police, Tourist Police, Police Road, Civil Protection Fire and local police.

For stocks, there will be a traffic park consisting of 35 patrols, 18 bike patrols, 18 quads, 10 sec way, ambulances and cranes. The police officers will conduct patrols, operating in the areas of the interior, exterior and periphery of the boardwalk and downtown area, without neglecting surveillance in other neighborhoods of the city.

During the holidays, breathalyzers that are installed in different parts of the city in order to prevent car accidents will remain active.

On the beaches, there will be special surveillance by lifeguards and police, who will constantly make recommendations to vacationers to avoid accidents that could have serious consequences, and take preventive measures to avoid other crimes.

It should be mentioned that the security strategy will be monitored, analyzed and operated every day, as the attendance of visitors depends on events and days of the week, so that security will be adapted to the number of visitors in the port and thus have targeted security schemes.

With these actions, the municipal government headed by Ramón Guerrero Martínez, endorses the commitment to provide security and protect the physical integrity of local, national and foreign visitors of Vallarta during Spring Break 2014, and work by providing all conditions of security.
