Open Water Selection at Puerto Vallarta Boardwalk

opwPuerto Vallarta - On March 8th, the Open Water Selection event took place in front of the Malecon in Puerto Vallarta, where athletes from different places of the country such as Baja California, Colima, Nayarit, Aguascalientes, Zacatecas, Estado de Mexico and Nuevo Leon competed. The categories of the competition included Child and Master.

The conditions of the sea were appropriate for the great event, where the competitors enjoyed the sun and the beach, and were always safeguarded by the port captaincy and Lifesavers, who were at the service of the community at all times.

This event was made possible thanks to the support of the Jalisco Swimming Association and the endorsement of the Mexican Swimming Federation, as well as the Municipal Sports Counsel of Puerto Vallarta to select the athletes that will participate in the Mexican National Olympic Selection that will take place in Veracruz.

Vladimir Ge, organizer of the great event, confessed to us the reason why Puerto Vallarta was chosen: “We decided to do this event here, because we consider Puerto Vallarta to be a beautiful place with an amazing hotel infrastructure and of course, it was made possible thanks to the support of Juan Rincon Flores, General Director of the Municipal Sports Counsel of Puerto Vallarta.
