Puerto Vallarta - Janice Chatterton, Founder of SPCAPV recently organized a lunch at the San Angel restaurant to present the new canine members of the Puerto Vallarta’s SPCA family that have incorporated to the organization and that will be available for any person that wishes to adopt or provide donations for the foundation.
One of the purposes of this foundation is without a doubt to express love towards animals with the objective of collecting funds to buy medicine and food for the sanctuary that currently shelters 120 dogs and 30 cats.
Among the activities presented, there was a Fashion Show, in which models walked the runway with the canines by their side for the guests; Canadians and Americans who live in Puerto Vallarta and have supported the institution economically, the purpose of the Fashion Show was to show the conditions in which the animals are kept since they are brought to the foundation with hopes of finding them a family.
This international association protects animals found on the streets; they are taken to a shelter, where they are fed and cared for by a SPCAPV, and then are given up for adoption by families that take care of them by taking them into their families and providing them a home.
