International Fireworks Festival Puerto Vallarta 2014 Changes Name & Venues

Puerto Vallarta will be the host of the 2014 Fireworks Festival, which takes place from 25th to 31st December.

Kicking off the Festival at 9:30 pm on Christmas evening will be spectacular Fireworks displays.

Just days before the Fest was to begin, originally scheduled to begin December 20 as announced in April of this year, the beginning date was changed to December 25th.

The venue was to be Los Muertos Pier, the Malecon and the Peninsula.

The majority of the events this year will take place at the Municipal Sports Stadium Agustin Flores Contreras (across from the Sheraton).

It was originally announced that there would be participants from Italy, USA, Canada and Spain. That didn't happen. The only international participant is France, thus the name change from "International Fireworks Festival" to "LuminiaFest."

In addition to all the great fireworks, you will experience celebrity concerts from great talents such as La Cuca, Lila Downs, Azul Violeta, Los 3 Zenzontles and La Sonora Dinamita, among others.

All performances and fireworks are free admission.
