The Governor of the People, Roberto Sandoval Castañeda toured areas of the state capital and the town of Xalisco, which were affected during this weekend by the floods caused by the weather phenomenon "Norbert".
"I'm touring the city of Tepic monitoring the damage caused by the rains, have instructed the Nayarit emergency services to cater for the population in case of emergencies," he said on his facebook wall the state governor.
The chief executive said during this journey that each government offices of the People are instructed to respond in a timely manner to the families who were affected and ensure food, shelter and medical attention if necessary.
He said the cleanup underway by Navy personnel, members of the Directorate for Civil Protection and Police Nayarit also said that each of the units that make up the Council of Civil Protection are on constant alert because they predict heavy rain for Sunday.
