With the objective to strengthen the actions by diverse associations and the Animal Collection Center in Puerto Vallarta for the care and protection of animals, next Friday, March 28th, the “Animal Party” event will take place at Punto V, in which all collected funds will be destined towards the purchase of materials and medicine, food, medical service and canine and feline sterilization for the services that these organizations bring to around 285 pets that are currently under their care.
During the press conference this past Wednesday, Angélica Barrera from Angelicat said that it will be a party in which, aside from having fun and participating in the gift raffle and other surprises, the permanent work of these associations will be supported, and this will allow them to provide care for more pets in an abandonment situations or that are vulnerable, to have a better life conditions, in addition to bringing awareness to the population.
Artist Leonardo Paz, who will auction 6 of his works at this event and will donate a portion of the proceedings, highlighted that the work of these organization not only benefits animals, but also the general population, because thanks to the work and commitment in which they keep dogs and cats, these pets are able to have a home, rather than roam the streets.
“I have been to the center several occasions, and a lot of support is needed. I believe that the center is a place under everyone’s responsibility, all animals really belong to everyone, my intention as an artist is to be able to present Vallarta as a place that is not only friendly to people, but that also demands awareness about biodiversity and the care of animals and a place where people can feel that each street animal is theirs. I think that what the center is doing is really helping us,” he said.
The cost of the tickets are 200 pesos per person and can be purchased on the day of the event at Punto V, or by calling 322-105-0867. The Animal Party will begin at 9:30 in the evening, being this a joint effort made by Animal Collection Center, SPCA, Angelicat, PV Animal, Purr Project, Paraiso Felino, and the Association of Veterniarians, who would like to invite the population to support this noble cause in benefit of the animals.
