The Treasure of the Mexican Pacific received direct exposure to over 2,000 spectators and 120 journalists as well as ample coverage during the transmission of the contest
Last Saturday the second and third place winners for Best National Costume in the Miss Brazil 2013 beauty contest received a splendid prize: an all-expense paid trip to the Riviera Nayarit with a stay at the luxurious Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta, with flights on Copa Airlines.
The public relations strategy undertaken to sponsor this event resulted in a very high level of media exposure with the support of the Mexico Tourism Board: just as the winner’s names were announced, the show aired a spot describing the prize, highlighting onscreen (http://youtu.be/sKMke13Jw58) the many natural attractions of the Treasure of the Mexican Pacific to an audience estimated to be more than the 8.6 million viewers the event had back in 2012.
“Through these cost-effective actions, especially when you compare the media reach generated versus our expenses in covering part of the airfare and the complementary hotel stay, the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau sends out a strong signal that it is fully committed to achieve the objectives laid out by the People’s Governor, Roberto Sandoval, to attract tourism that benefits everyone in Nayarit,” said Marc Murphy, General Director of the CVB.
