The Technological University of Banderas Bay(UTBB) carried out the official act of Academic Scholarship delivery for beginning and continuing studies at the Educational Institution. Hundreds of young people have benefited from this program allowing them to enter Higher Education.
Thanks to the management skills and the commitment to quality education of the Governor Roberto Sandoval Castañeda it was possible to grant 480 scholarships to the same number of students of the University, with the goal that no young person is left without a university education for not having the opportunities to do so.
The event was carried out on the natural environment of the lake located within the premises of the University, an area that was rescued with the intention of creating a space that helps the recovery of the natural ecosystem of the place, being also an area that students have taken as a meeting and recreation center.
El Lic. José Gómez Pérez, principal of the University of Technology, said: "Young students should be happy and proud of the support that we have from the Governor Roberto Sandoval, this support corresponds to more than a million pesos in resources that the institution does not receive, but more than that, it is an investment in education, the opportunity to support 480 families directly, however the university does not stay with its arms crossed, but resources from extra funds are managed to improve the infrastructure, equipment, training and strengthening of Educational Programs and students, the benefits of the people's Government are for everyone thanks to Roberto Sandoval", said the rector José Gómez.
