The next August 15 the walks of the municipal agency El Colorado will be celebrated, a tradition that dates back to 1990 and that since then, has been carried out in a fun and healthy environment.

Therefore, the Preventive Police Station, Highways and the municipal Disaster Prevention and Firefighters Department, with the availability to serve society and in coordination with the authorities of the three levels of government as well as other municipal departments have prepared a strategic plan to ensure the safety of those who attend this traditional celebration.

With respect to the Preventive Police, two of the groups will work eighteen-hour shifts for surveillance in the colonies and tourist area of ​​the city, while the other group will provide surveillance in the event from seven in the morning until the last of the attendees leaves.

Infantry and security filters will be set up at strategic points along the main access to the area of the traditional stroll, in order to strengthen monitoring and reduce the response time in case of an emergency.

In the case of the roads, traffic police will support in the area where the event takes place, while the Ministry of Roads will do the same in the stretch of highway from the Las Juntas delegation up to las Palmas.

Work will also be done in coordination with the System for Integral Family Development (DIF) who will attend a care module in case of registering strayed children at the event.

In total there will be 200 members of the Preventive Police Station, Highways and the Disaster and Fire Prevention Department which will participate in this operative. Just as in the one celebrated in the Las Palmas walks, excellent results are expected.
