Harkness Institute Founders Day Celebration!

Good day!

Let me introduce myself, my name is Sofía Ramos and I am a 12th grade student at a local high school called Harkness Institute.

The school’s goal is to educate gifted and motivated young Mexicans from middle and lower middle class families who would not be able to afford a
quality high school education in English otherwise. Its learning system is Socratic based, similar to the one used at Phillips Exeter Academy.

We started being around 20 students enrolled at the school, which started on 2010, and after three years we are about 40 sophomores, juniors, and
seniors.  Most of us receive some sort of financial aid, for which fundraising efforts are very important.

On Saturday we are having a party with fundraising purposes at Mezzogiorno in Bucerias. It would be truly helpful if you could give us a helping hand
by spreading the word around. It is going to be a 4 course dinner with wine, beer or soda. We’re also going to have a raffle, and among the
prizes are going to be a Kindle Fire, jewelry and passes to places. It’s going to be a great celebration!
