Puerto Vallarta is preparing to host the eighth edition of the long-awaited Raicilla Festival #DamaJuana2025, an event that pays tribute to one of the most emblematic drinks of Jalisco. The event is on March 15 and 16 at the Cuale Cultural Center Esplanade, where attendees will be able to enjoy a unique experience that fuses tradition, culture and gastronomy.
The Municipal Government of Puerto Vallarta, through Councilwoman Laurel Carrillo, offered a press conference to talk about this Festival, which is expected to be an opportunity to celebrate the tradition and flavor of this Mexican drink.
A celebration of the raicilla legacy
With hours from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the festival will offer a wide variety of activities for all lovers of raicilla and Mexican culture. In this edition, visitors will be able to tour the expo-sale of 22 raicilla brands, with the opportunity to taste and purchase products from the best producers in the region. In addition, live demonstrations of the distillation process will be carried out, allowing them to learn about the artisanal production of this ancient drink.
One of the highlights of the festival will be the talks with master raicilleros, who will share their knowledge about the history, production methods and characteristics that make raicilla unique. This drink, originally from Jalisco and declared with Denomination of Origin in 2019, has been gaining national and international recognition, positioning itself as a jewel among Mexican spirits.
Music, folklore and gastronomy at the heart of the festival
In addition to the prominence of raicilla, the DamaJuana 2025 Festival will offer a festive atmosphere with live music and the presentation of folkloric ballets, which will fill the event with color and energy.
