Governor Enrique Alfaro installled this Friday the Governing Board of the Decentralized Public Organization
The governor of the state of Jalisco, Enrique Alfaro Ramírez, installed this Friday the Governing Board of the Decentralized Public Organization (OPD) Network of Justice Centers for Women, which will be coordinated by Ms. Beatriz Adriana Hernández Suástegui. She has the task of implementing a strategic plan that allows women who approach the Women's Justice Centers to access the processes of comprehensive care in a specialized manner with a gender perspective, due diligence and adherence to human rights, without secondary victimization or institutional violence. To make this attention possible, the government of Jalisco approved a budget of 90 million pesos for the Network of Women's Justice Centers. It is important to mention that in this transition that will take place with the State Prosecutor's Office, 165 million pesos will be added, an amount already assigned to the operation and that the available amount will be transferred to the total once the administrative, financial and other necessary requirements have been fulfilled. In this sense, the sum of both concepts for fiscal year 2022, results in a total budget of: $255'510,975.00.
The OPD Network of Justice Centers for Women, which is part of the State Government's Emergency Strategy against Gender-Based Violence, will provide comprehensive attention to women who live and travel in Jalisco, concentrating in dignified and efficient spaces all the services that women victims of gender-based violence require in order to have access to justice. Enrique Alfaro emphasized that, in turn, this Network reflects the work of planning, investment and the detection of needs through the dialogue that has been had with society, the three branches of government and specialists in the field. "There has been an exercise of dialogue, discussion and public debate on how to design a more solid institutional scaffolding to face such a complex challenge as this one, a bet that will have very positive results for our State, An effort that is designed to face a problem that has exceeded the response capacity of governments throughout the country and that today in Jalisco we assume as a challenge that we want to face hand in hand with society and with a solid institutional response, it will be this structure and this network that will also allow us to grow the infrastructure of justice centers in the state," said Alfaro Ramirez. In terms of infrastructure, the state governor recalled that the Women's Justice Center in Colotlán is about to be completed and the one in Tlajomulco is about to begin. In addition, he highlighted that another center will be defined by the government board to be built, according to needs, in the AMG. It should be noted that the objective of the Women's Justice Centers is to concentrate in the same space all the services that women victims of gender violence require in order to have access to justice with a gender perspective.
