To protect and safeguard those who Carry it

The governor of the state of Jalisco, Enrique Alfaro Ramírez, delivered through the Secretariat of Security, 120 Code Violet geolocation devices to expand the protection of women in municipalities of the Metropolitan Area of Guadalajara (AMG) and the interior of the state, in which the three levels of government will act to protect and safeguard those who carry it. The President recalled the reinforcement of actions within the framework of International Women's Day, March 8, with the creation of a Secretariat for Substantive Equality between Women and Men, whose budget of 440 million pesos exceeds that of the former Women's Institute, which only had 64 million. "We are delivering support from the state government, but at the same time there are the commitments of the municipal presidents to acquire more equipment, to be able to expand the attention. We have known successful cases in the municipality of Zapopan, particularly that have served as a guide to be able to fine-tune our protocols and reaction capacity to be able to operate these devices adequately," he added.
INTEGRAL STRATEGY These actions are part of a comprehensive strategy through the General Directorate of Crime Prevention of the Ministry of Security, in addition to policies such as the upcoming operation of the Justice Center for Women in the Northern Zone in Colotlán, as well as the implementation of the women's hospital in Tlaquepaque and the launching of the network of women's justice centers, said the president. The state of Jalisco has had a declaration of violence against women alert since November 20, 2018, with emphasis on 10 municipalities that have the highest levels of violence exercised, pointed out the secretary of Substantive Equality between Men and Women, Paola Lazo. She pointed out that cultural change has to be based on laws, actions and that equality and non-discrimination must be promoted by the government. "The delivery of these devices to different municipalities within the state has the potential to combine in the same action measures for the prevention, care and protection of gender-based violence, since prevention consists of addressing structural causes, risk and protection factors that are associated with violence to change attitudes, behaviors, beliefs and forms of relationships between women and men so that we can generate balances in power relations that enable equal access to resources and opportunities and the exercise of human rights to a life free of violence," said Lazo. The symbolic delivery was made to the commissioners representing the security corporations of Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, Tonalá, San Pedro Tlaquepaque, El Salto, Ameca, Arandas and the chief commissioner of the general coordination of operational planning of the State, Violeta Castillo Saldívar. For his part, Agustín Juan Bosco Pacheco Medrano, Secretary of Security, informed that there will be training for the handling of the devices that women at risk will wear, which will issue an alert to C5 and the municipalities' booths, alerting the aggressor's proximity and through the Violet Code the attention of the municipality, the state or the federation will be called to the attention of the municipality, the state or the federation.
