Thanks to quantum physics, scientists say they could build a global network of much more accurate than any clock atomic clocks today.

If the job is successful, the concept of time as we know it today could change drastically and allow a new idea of accuracy.

A group of scientists, led by Mikhail Lukin, Harvard University, proposes a new concept, called 'quantum superreloj'.

Soon it would be possible to exploit the power of a quantum network world watches to "allow the construction of a single international time scale in real time (World clock) with unprecedented accuracy and stability," says a study published in the journal Nature Physics '.

The clock is based on the principle of quantum entanglement, puzzling phenomenon of quantum mechanics that occurs when two or more particles interact so that the conduct of each depends behavior apparently others.

So far, scientists have managed to weave 14 atoms at the time, but without the precision required to manufacture the superreloj.
