On January 29, the Department of Environment and Ecology of the Municipality of Puerto Vallarta met with members of the Association of Hotels Puerto Vallarta and Banderas Bay AC, representatives Fiesta Americana Hotel, Las Palmas by the sea, Holiday Inn Resort, Villa del Palmar, and the representative of the Secretary of Tourism of Jalisco Mr. Ludwig Estrada, with the intention of creating a spirit of cooperation in Program Certified Beaches in the Municipality.

During the meeting intends to increase the number of certified in town as one of the priorities established in the Municipal Development Plan and as one of the guiding principles that implements the address exposed beaches. As it seeks to include the portion of beach that runs from near the mouth of the river Pitillal south channel of Tulle, with an area of ​​1,162 linear meters.

The meeting highlighted the importance of staying schema certified beaches, and that this provides security for visitors and locals and promotes respect for the environment. For their part, representatives of the tourism sector in favor of certification from the beach and reiterated their support and commitment to fulfill this task.
