The Starting Signal of the Operative “Safe Christmas 2013”is given

Authorities of the three levels of government, gave the starting signal to the operative ‘Safe Christmas 2013′,which will be implemented from December 13 to January 6 of 2014, and will be carried out in the Federal Police module.

The aim of this operative is to watch the zones of greater traffic during the winter season to help the people that require advice, tourist information, help when their cars have some mechanical failure, as well as to offer pre-hospital attention to those who require it and give attention to the countrymen that are going back to their homes in these dates.

During his intervention, the commander of the Federal Police of Puerto Vallarta, Martín Sánchez Martínez, signalled that work is being done in coordination with the authorities of the three the levels of government with the aim of guaranteeing the security of the visitors and the Vallartans.

Likewise he recommended to the people that are about to go out out of the city or who will arrive to Puerto Vallarta to check their car before going out, especially the brakes, tires and the state of the engine; to respect the speed limits and the traffic signals, to avoid driving while tired, to establish routes with stops for resting or eating, to not talk in their mobile phone while driving and to maintain order in the interior of the car, since a lapse could cause fatal accidents.

For his part, the Commissioner of “Preventive Police Traffic Civil Protection and Firefighters” of Puerto Vallarta, the Mayor Rogelio Hernández de la Mata, informed that as a complementary part of this operative, the surveillance in the whole tourist zone and popular colonies has been reinforced with the aim of avoiding thefts in this season when there is more money going around, as well as avoiding vandalism and car accidents.

During the nights and mornings, tours are carried out with the motorized group “Lince”, which patrols all the colonies and the tourist strip, action for which the neighbors have shown their approval, in addition to preventing criminal acts and being alert for any emergency that could occur, without stopping to urge the citizens to take cautionary measures.

During the start of these actions, the authorities of the Ministry of the Armed Marines of Mexico were present, as well as of the Army, the Federal Police, the Ministry of Mobility of the State, the Red Cross and the Commissariat of the “Preventive Police, Roads, Civil Protection and municipal Firefighters”, who gave the starting signal to the units of rescue and surveillance.
