To date and starting on July first, this program began with night patrols on the beaches of the municipality, for the protection of adult female sea turtles and their nest collections for safekeeping temporary corral incubation, there have been a total of 621 nests planted, resulting in an average of 62 thousand protected eggs, these actions have freed up to now, a total of 3 thousand 789 offspring.
The mayor stressed that Puerto Vallarta aspires to be a green city and that the rescue and release of sea turtles is one of the commitments to build a culture of respect and appreciation for the environment.
