Puerto Vallarta. Jal.- Vallarta Cultural Institute and House of Graphic Memory are inviting to a Conference on “Chronicles and Poems about Puerto Vallarta as seen by its Residents” , which will take place this Thursday, February 12 at 7:00 pm at River Café Restaurant. The object of this conference is to share anecdotes about people and events that throughout the years have been part of the identity of the city.
Personalities of Puerto Vallarta’s Culture and Society such as Berenice Dueñas, Vivian Curiel, Francisco Quezada Hernández, Félix Fernando Baños López, Eduardo Gómez Encarnación, architect Luis Álvarez and Juan Manuel Gómez Encarnación, will be exposing at this conference.
Participants will review the history, chronicles, and bibliographies of the city as well as literary creations inspired on Puerto Vallarta, a city that although young, it has a historic baggage to share.
“We will have the opportunity to spend an enjoyable moment with people who love and are grateful to Vallarta, knowledgeable people who do research about Vallarta and take it upon themselves to share their knowledge,” said Sergio Zepeda, director of Vallarta Cultural Institute; and he went on to say that this event is one of the activities of House of Graphic Memory, which is a place where one can appreciate a priceless photo archive, complied with the help of Puerto Vallarta citizens.
The Conference will be directed by guitar expert Antonio Navarro Gutierrez. Entrance is free. The River Café is located at Isla del Rio Cuale.
