Again, the Women's Association and the Center Vallarta Support Children with Cancer (CANICA), organized the event  “Mi Amigo sin Pelo” with the aim of raising funds to help children in poor families suffering from cancer and who can not afford treatment.

At a press conference , the President of the Women's Association Vallarta , Evelia Basáñez and director of CANICA , Javier Galvan , reported that the goal in 2014 will be 350 thousand dollars, so they will continue the campaign with the slogan  “¡Ven, rápate, y se un pelón por donación!,  which aims to invite people donated themselves as collectors of donations by putting a price on your hair, make your piggy bank and challenge friends and family to cooperate with an amount of money and shave, as an act of solidarity with children with cancer.

The total collected  meets in Los Arcos del Malecon , where participants bring their  piggybank, and hair, for which they must gather at least 500 pesos per cut.

It should be noted that in recent years, “Mi Amigo sin Pelo” has raised funds to helped dozens of children lead a better survival, supporting not only financial resources , but also to activities that have been donated by many sponsors that have been supported the cause.

Note that the Support Center for Children with Cancer CANICA AC Founded in August 2003 , is a non-governmental organization legally constituted transparent , non-profit , independent , professional, and ethical . With a significant degree of participation of volunteers who contribute their time, talent and resources.

After eleven years of supporting families who live the experience of having a child with cancer, the association has implemented several programs that give families tools to have a better quality of life, to acquire knowledge and skills to make better decisions treatment of his son.

This hard work has won CANICA  and the Women's Association Vallarta, trust and credibility among the population of Puerto Vallarta, who each year participate convinced of the transparency of the organization.
