To enrich expectations and strengthen lifestyles of 580 children and adolescents in vulnerable situations, through their integration into school or training to enter the labor market under better conditions, is the main objective of the System for the Integral Family Development (DIF) Jalisco by delivering the same number of scholarships in the cities of Guadalajara and Zapopan.

The assistance agency today delivered to the beneficiaries, electronic purses with the amount of two thousand dollars each, making a total of one million 160 thousand pesos invested in both metropolitan municipalities, which are resources from the Federal Fund V Branch 33.

The director of DIF Jalisco, Consuelo del Rosario González Jiménez, delivered in the International Friendship Center of DIF Guadalajara, scholarships to 323 children receiving care from various programs of the Directorate for the Protection of Children and stated that, for parents, this represents a great concern, that their children can go to school to study.

"All of us, as parents, know that this money is going to serve to support your children, so that they leave the streets. That is the commitment to all those who for some reason were in the street and were not studying, with this support and this effort, I think that it is a commitment of all of us, that our children continue studying", said González Jiménez.

Of the 323 children cared for in coordination with DIF Guadalajara, 284 correspond to the Minor Workers program, 16 to the Children DIFfusers, 10 to the Sexual Exploitation of Children, six to migrant and repatriated minors and seven to Psychosocial Risk Prevention (PREVERP) .

In Zapopan, the Metropolitan Center for Older Adults (CEMAM) of the Municipal DIF hosted the delivery of academic scholarships to 257 children.

Angela Vianey Rodríguez Mariscal, one of the beneficiaries, said that since three years ago she has been recieving the scholarship support from DIF Zapopan, which she uses to purchase school supplies, uniforms, shoes and a backpack, for when she grows up she wants to be a vet.

"On behalf of all the children who receive support from the DIF we want to thank the promoters and authorities for their help to continue our studies," she said.

The grants were for 200 beneficiaries of the Minor Workers, 20 of PREVERP, 14 of the program for the attention of Child Sexual Exploitation, 14 of child migrants and repatriated, nine of the Children DIFfusers.
