Thierry Blouet the renowned chef of Puerto Vallarta, welcomed to this important event and said we are very proud to have here an adviser of many wines from all over Mexico, and there are 2 large winemakers of wines in this country.
Mr. Jose Luis Durand is one of them, and it is an honor to have him here with us, Jose Luis this is your home, and many of us here, are great friends and more friends are coming to have a dinner, an a wonderful experience in this interesting event, a dinner pairing with all your wines.
Mr. Jose Luis Durand winemaker and wine producer from Ensenada, Baja California, commented, the reason for this trip is to present our products here in Puerto Vallarta, the different brands of wines we handle and let you know that our manufacturing is completely manual, we do not use machines to move the grapes or musts, all is done by hand, obviously our cooling and cleaning technology is a more delicate way, and our approach is to wine aromas, the language of the most basic and important message and is to communicate the potential of the vineyard, the beauty of the vineyard directly to the bottle, with the least amount of intervention possible.
Our best known brand is Icarus, it is the one with more years on the market and has received major endorsements, and right know we are introducing a new line called ALA ROTA and it is focused on elegance. Now we will have a Pairing Dinner here at the Café Des Artistes, with the very important, Chef Thierry Blouet, together we have prepared this dinner consisting of a specific dish for a meal, chosen by Thierry, then from my line of wines, the idea is to find the combination of contrasts and similarities that display the qualities of the wine and food. This is the challenge to the chef.
The event took place at the premises of the famous restaurant Café Des Artistes, In a warm and elegant environment with the presence of the society in Puerto Vallarta who enjoyed dishes and a variety of fine table wines.
