Biblioteca Los Mangos New Year Gala Concert

With another good year rushing by, festivities are in the air in our party-town, Vallarta !

Already, La Biblioteca Los Mangos is abuzz with activity, excited and proud to present a host of musical events to comemorate

- 18th  BLM's anniversary with the Autumn  Classical Youth Concert on Friday, November 23, followed by a performance by the Orquesta Escuela the next Friday, November 30, and culminating with ..

- A New Year Gala Benefit Concert on Thursday, December 27, with Open bar starting at 6:00 pm and the Concert beginning at 7:00 pm in the stately salons of Sheraton Bougainvilias!

Under the generous sponsorship of Sheraton and with everyone eagerly celebrating the holidays throughout, our BLM has just this very special.... event of events to round off good ol' 2012 and greet a dawning New Year!

Featured in this Gala Concert with piano, classical guitar,voice, double bass, conga.... this unique event promises be a dynamic mix of eclectic works, solo and ensemble, .... classical, latin'n jazz,... all blended in rich Cuban flavour! Such works as Franz Liszt, J.S. Bach, Mauro Giuliani, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Heitor Villa Lobos to Leo Brauwer, Astor Piazolla... original jazz duet and trio arrangements etc.... all exuberantly performed, not to mention the hot virtuosic pianist's high octane own improvisations!

So, who are these cool performers? In residence here in town, and certainly a gem of a find.....a young charismatic and charming Cuban couple, Maestro Anibal Cruz Cesar composer/teacher and virtuoso concert pianist, and his  beautiful and gifted wife, Maestra Irisley Luis Gomez, one of the most lyrical classical guitarist/singer/teacher around, are both enthusiastically gearing up to make this year end - New Year festivity the most enjoyable and unforgettable!

Adding onto this happy celebratory note, Sheraton is graciously offering all concert goers pre- concert and intermission cocktails and canapes at the Open Bar/s at  20% discount outside the concert hall. Dinners at any of the Hotel´s two restaurants, Las Gaviotas or Villitas too will enjoy the 20% discount before or after the show, on presentation of one's ticket stubs .. (hang on to them!)
