Traffic Cuts Announced On Francisco Medina Ascencio Ave.

Due to rehabilitation works already programmed, the municipal government of Puerto Vallarta informed that starting this Saturday, February 26, there will be cuts to vehicular circulation in different stretches of Francisco Medina Ascencio Avenue, between Los Tules Avenue and the entrance to Marina Vallarta. Officials from Public Works and Municipal Transit met with representatives of the contractor company in charge of said works, in order to establish the schedule of the sections to be intervened and the periods in which they will be closed in order to inform the population in a timely manner due to the inconveniences this will cause. The purpose is to conclude the work prior to the Holy Week and Easter holiday period, thus establishing the first points to be intervened and the corresponding vehicle closures in: 1).-Central south - north lanes, from La Vaca Argentina to the Krystal Hotel (Av. Fluvial Vallarta to Av. de las Aguilas), beginning Saturday 26 at 8:00 a.m. and tentative reopening next Thursday, March 3. 2) One of the north-south lateral lanes, from the main entrance to Marina Vallarta (Paseo de la Marina Ave.) to the entrance to Los Peines, starting on Monday 28th at 8:00 a.m. and tentatively reopening next Friday March 4th. In this case, caution should be exercised in the other side lane.

STORM DRAINS In addition, rehabilitation works have been programmed for storm drains, which will also affect vehicular traffic. Work is already underway at the intersection of Av. Las Flores and Av. Mexico, in one lane from north to south, which will last six days and is expected to be finished next Thursday. Next Monday, work will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Av. 16 de Septiembre in the south to north lane at the intersection with Clavel and Gladiola streets, La Floresta neighborhood, for which the accesses to both roads will be closed in their incorporation to 16 de Septiembre. The work will be concluded on Saturday, March 5. The population is advised to take the necessary precautions in all cases, seek alternate routes and drive with moderation on these roads to avoid any accidents
