However, now a day love is demonstrated via technology, reason why at least 15 % will give as gift at least one technological accessory this year.
Currently a great part of the activities done on Valentine’s Day, are link to technology. TNS Mexico says nine out of ten people taking the opinion poll mentioned they will use technology to send greetings. Facebook is the favorite and it occupies first place among people 18-24, 24-34 and 35-44. Although the last group is beginning to use Twitter more. Whatsup is preferred by the group 18-24; while adults 45-55 send their greetings via SMS, Email or electronic cards.
This year promises to be a good year for internet businesses, since, according to eMarketer consultancy reports, on line sales are expected to duplicate at this time of the year.
Paulina Santibáñez, communication manager of a discount coupon portal on line, said that they are expecting a very important increased on line shopping this year, due to three factors: Mexican consumers are beginning to trust more online stores; the numbers of Smartphone users have increased in the last few years and there are many more on line stores to choose from.
