vOLCAN COLIMAPuerto Vallarta, Jal. - The State Unit of Proteccion Civil and Jalisco Fire Fighters, announced, through their Twitter account, a new eruption of Colima Volcano sends ashes four thousand meters high.

The eruption happened at 7:13 a.m. According to Luis Felipe Puente, National Coordinator of Proteccion Civil, smoke rose from the crater of the volcano, but for the moment, it does not represent a risk to people.

The direction of the smoke was 300 meters towards East, reason why it is likely that ashes could be fallen on the villages near the area. Felipe Puente informed that the towns that might possible suffer from fallen ashes are Tuxpan and Zapoltiltic.

Given the circumstances, Jalisco Fire Fighters are asking people to take some precautions, such as cover the mouth and nose with a wet handkerchief, wipe your eyes and clean your throat with purified water; wear glasses to avoid eye irritation and to close or cover up all windows.
