“Fundamental, sighted and visionary for water usage,” that was the qualification given by local commissionaires, businessmen and regional authorities in regards to the construction of San Vicente – El Porvenir water collector, in the municipality of Banderas Bay.
A public work managed by Governor Roberto Sandoval Castañeda, in which 78 million pesos will be invested to the benefit of over 99 thousands residents.
In regards to the subject matter, President of Comisariado Ejidal (Common Land) of Banderas Valley, Luis Alberto Covarrubias Medina said: “It’s a matter that the federal government has taken up, along with the state government and the municipality that without a doubt will be a great contribution that the federal government will give this municipality.”
Martin Castro, President of Comisariado Ejidal (Common Land) of El Porvenir, celebrated that this public work will help diminish contamination in small settlements of the regrion, because an infrastructure of water collector networks will be installed for the water treatment of El Porvenir, San Juan de Abajo, Banderas Valley, San Vicente, Nuevo Vallarta, Bucerias, la Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Mezcales, San Jose del Valle and Santa Rosa Tapachula.
Director of Visitor’s Office and Conventions of the Riveria Nayarit, Marc Murphy, commented: “We were definitely expecting a great work like this, and honestly, congratulations to the governor for accomplishing it, and as they say, when you already have friends in the Federal Government and that you have a governor that can pull those resources and public works, well, it’s possible.”
Maria de Jesus Ruiz Pineda, Councilor of Banderas Bay, said that this work “is something very important and with a much vision on behalf of our authorities, as well as the President of the Republic, Enrique Peña Nieto, and our governor, that will honestly be of great benefit, a lot of illnesses will be avoided, and right now we will see ourselves benefited as citizens. It’s a proyect aiming for the future that will benefit new generations.”
This collector will utilize more than 22 thousand meters of high density polyethylene pipes and PVC of different diameters, that will drive 600 liters per second, and will counter pollution by allowing appropriate evacuation of wastewater, and with alternative projects, such as a treatment plan being built in the zone, which registers an advancement of 75 percent – it will allow smart usage of water.
