With the aim of preparing a strategy for the development of the ordinary phase of the School Technical Councils (STC) and the supporting materials, which will be the basis for the development of the eight working sessions scheduled during the school year 2013 -2014, in the more than 200 thousand primary schools of the country, school officials and school supervisors of basic education, are already working in the Second National Workshop for the ordinary implementation of the School Technical Councils with supervisors.
The delegate of Education Services in the North Coast region, Roberto Palomera Preciado, commented that the head of the Ministry of Education (SE) ​​of the Government of Jalisco, Francisco de Jesús Ayón López has stated that the School Technical Councils are important since they will be the strategic instance that ensures, in compliance with Article 3 of the Constitution, the overall development of students for achieving the quality education to which we all aspire.
"They will be a strategy of the education system that will allow the improvement of student learning, decrease dropout rates and establish a minimum standard for schools to function properly, this with the collaboration of all the school supervisors, principals and teachers", he added .
He noted that the STC should operate as an internal organ of the school with a participatory and inclusive character so that, starting from the development of an initial diagnosis of the school environment, decisions are taken that strengthen the learning processes of students, teachers and principals.
For her part, the undersecretary of Basic Education of the Ministry of Public Education (SEP) Alba Martínez Olivé, mentioned that the purpose of this second workshop is to build a better STC.
She said the STC is a necessary space for the professional development and growth of teachers and principals where they can speak confidently, and comfortably about day to day educational issues, not just problems, but also success stories, in order to improve the strategies to get the children to learn.
Parents will be aware of the approaches presented in the STC, a situation that will bring benefits to the education of their children since they will have the necessary information to assist in their learning process as the development of students starts at home with the participation of the whole family and this is complemented in school.
