This was announced by the businessman Alfonso Rizzuto, president of Grupo Marival Riviera Nayarit, who said that with this new flight, from one of the most important cities of the American Union, it is confirmed that next year will be the definite recovery for the tourism industry of the region comprised of Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit.

He stressed that this new direct flight from New York by Delta Airlines, will add to the operating flights of the airline from some cities in the United States, especially from Los Angeles, California, which has expanded in the frequency of flights since last summer and will remain like this for the rest of the year, especially for the coming winter season.

He reiterated that not only a light can be seen at the end of the tunnel of the tourism crisis that has hit the industry in recent years, but it is much more than a glimmer of recovery for the end of this year, which will be a reality during 2014.

It should be recalled that the arrival of the new Delta Airlines flight en route from Los Angeles to Puerto Vallarta, on July first, not only marked the official start of the joint promotion between Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit, but it also represented the arrival of higher economic level U.S. tourism for both destinations.

The flight, with a capacity for 144 passengers, arrived at the international airport of this city with 122 tourists on board, who were greeted with mariachi music and a committee composed of representatives of Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit.
