Brickmakers in Puerto Vallarta will access a program of training and assisted auto-construction which will help them improve their standard of life through the program Self-Employment Production Center (CPA) that is handled by Cementos Mexicanos (Cemex), announced the Councillor Mendoza Susana Carreño.
"The mayor met with officials of Cementos Mexicanos and commissioned me to assemble the brick-makers so that they become part of a program that seeks to boost the self-guided auto-construction and the creation of social enterprises which improve the situation and household income, of both the producers and the people living in extreme poverty " explained the councilwoman Mendoza Carreño.
The aim of this center is to potentiate and generate self-employment skills, collective work and provide tools for self-sufficiency for low-income families. It is important to note that this program has been developed in different parts of Mexico such as Tamaulipas, Coahuila, Oaxaca, Sonora, Nuevo Leon, Michoacan, San Luis Potosi and Hidalgo, for which at this time the mayor Ramón Guerrero is looking to deploy it in Puerto Vallarta, with people who already know about the subject such as the brick-makers.
"It allows families to have more income and have more people who can produce basic materials for construction, and now that we have the program "Casa Digna" that was driven (by the mayor Ramon Guerrero Martinez), we require brick, block, paving stone, and they can do it and we can use it in the colonies, this is what it is about, "added the councilor.
After the meeting with the gentlemen Julio Alberto Rizo Rocha, Ernesto Munoz and Juan Carlos Moran Ortega, who represent the brick-makers that will be part of this program, it is expected that by the end of July there will be a visit to a Self-Employment Productive Center, and that for the month of August the first jobs in this city begin.
THE HIGHLIGHT:
The aim of this center is to potentiate and generate self-employment skills, collective work and provide tools for self-sufficiency for low-income families.
