The Governor of the State of Jalisco, Jorge Aristoteles Sandoval Diaz visited the region of los Altos de Jalisco to place the first stone of the Regional Hospital of Arandas and inaugurate an emergency helipad in this same location.
Among the facilities there will be in the Regional Hospital, are 18 inpatient beds, an operating room, a room for giving birth, eight offices, a shock room, a waiting room, laboratory service, x-rays, blood transfusion service, multipurpose room, kitchen area, laundry, pharmacy, toilets for patients and medical staff, government area, bedroom for physicians and general services. It is expected that the work is completed by 2014 and benefits more than 94,000 people without social security in the region.
Sandoval Diaz reminded everyone that the welfare policy that his administration promotes focuses on knowing the basic needs of the person and then in investing in infrastructure to help improve their quality of life, as is the case of this work. He added that during his administration there will be a search to expand health coverage to more remote regions of the metropolitan area of Guadalajara, and so meet the Government's duty to provide quality health services for all of Jalisco.
The governor said that he was proud of the responsibility with which the mayors of the region have driven the project of the Regional Hospital, as this work responds, after many years of being ignored, the requirement of bringing to these people the quality medical care that they need.
The Governor also thanked President Enrique Peña Nieto for contemplating the construction of regional hospitals in Jalisco, within the Master Plan of Basic Infrastructure.
The event was attended by the Secretary of Health, Jaime Agustin González Álvarez; mayors in the region, led by the mayor of Arandas, Omar Hernandez Hernandez, local deputies and the federal deputy Cecilia González Gómez.
THIS IS HOW HE PUT IT:
”With these actions we are showing that our Government is aware that we cannot play with the health of the people of Jalisco, it can't be negotiated, nor neglected. The health of our children since they are in the womb, of their mothers, our seniors, preventive care at any age is a priority for our government.“
