On the occasion of International Women's Day, held on March 8, the Municipal Institute of Women has prepared a series of activities that seeks to recognize the essential role of Vallarta in social, economic and productive in this city , said the head of the agency, Ariadne Meza Montejano.

She explained that the program to be held next Friday, will begin on the premises of the council with the mayor a message to all women and especially for those who work within the municipal administration and the delegation later in Ixtapa, they will breakfast with women leaders of the municipality.

Later in the public square of this delegation and under the program Viernes en Movimiento, will mark this important milestone with the population at 6 pm, in  the courtyard of City Hall, the conference will be "Vallarta y sus mujeres" which will be open to the public and given by Gabriela Scartascini.

In recent days, the restaurant Raixes Cocina de Origen, the new development in Puerto Bahia Cruz de Huanacaxtle, was graced with the visit of the members of La Chaine des Rotisseurs, who gathered to celebrate their official meeting and sharing an afternoon of excellent table, good friendship and fellowship.

The sunny afternoon and a magnificent view of the bay, was the perfect setting for the presentation of a special menu that is part of the restaurant's Raixes Cocina de Origen, event attended by approximately 20 members of the fraternity of good food who chatted in an environment where the pleasant camaraderie reigned at all times.

Emphasized during the meeting, the special attention given to detail, something that was well received by the guests tasted, before the feast, some snacks and appetizers prepared them to make way for a delicious feast.

The menu was composed of dishes of the author, five services of  consisted Baja clam style, 24h tomato salad in pesto and mozzarella, Fishing de la cruz in bougainvillea and gremolata crust, caramelized onion puree, asparagus and black quinoa with pinion , Filet mignon with potato cannelloni cilantro and vegetables from the garden, and the banquet ended with apple pie and ice cream old jackfruit Resource War, all accompanied by wines, Sauvignon blanc Upper South 2011 Finca Sophenia Mendoza, Argentina , Les Blanches 2008 Côte du Violetes Moilland Rodhe, France, and Les Grandes Vignes 2009 Cotes du Rhone, France.

2st annual RiverFest 2013

The Banderas Bay Region is home to over 300 species of different birds and will be the site this March 7, through 10 for the Puerto Vallarta International Birding Festival. The Festival is hosted by the Vallarta Bird Conservancy and will kick off on March 7 at the Vallarta Botanical Gardens. Los Bambinos, the very popular four-brother local band is performing two weekly shows at Roxy Rock House (Ignacio L. Vallarta 217, El Centro) starting at 8 pm. The Tuesday show, presently performed on an ongoing basis, features rock music, while their Sunday show, beginning February 17, features Spanish music, performed acoustically. Tickets are $200 pesos per person, pre-sale, and $250 pesos at the door.
