Visit us and celebrate Mexico's independence in Puerto Vallarta

In commemoration of Mexico's struggle for independence the nation officially comes to a joyful stop. Independence Day is celebrated with a colorful display of traditional parades, fireworks and the obligatory El Grito ('cry of independence') in all government palaces and plazas.

Puerto Vallarta joins in the festivities with the colors of red, white and green decorating the streets, the quintessential Mexican flag waving from all establishments, as well as images of the heroes Miguel Hidalgo, Jose Maria Morelos and Doña Josefa for whom many of our local streets are named.

And of course, the most anticipated moment falls on September 15th: the cry of independence, given by the mayor in the Main Plaza at 11 p.m. Everything concludes with an evening of fireworks and music in the central plaza and the Malecon with its spectacular ocean views.

Celebrate Mexico's Independence at ACT II STAGES!

Act II has created the perfect show to celebrate! Act II's Danny Mininni and producing partner, Kharla Barragan from the ALAS school of Music will produce another original show;Concierto Noche Mexicana. The show stars some of Vallarta's favorite singers from The Voice Of Vallarta; the winner Coral Mata, the sexy Ladies' Night star, Jose Maria Caudillo, The Voice of Vallarta sweetheart, Flor Hernandez, Agua Luna Mia, and Voice of Vallarta host Juan Pablo Hernandez. The show will also feature, from A Chorus Line, local talent, Alfredo Mendoza. The kids we love from Alas and musical director Kharla Barragan will be in the show, and everyone loves them! The performance will be in the Act II Main Stage Theater September 13 at 8 pm. Advance tickets are now available at only $150 pesos. On show night, tickets cost $250 pesos.
