gasolinafrontThe Treasury and Public Finance Secretariat (SHCP) reported that the average gasoline prices nationwide will increase starting Jan. 1, 2017.

Prices will be 15.99 pesos ($0.77) per liter for Magna gasoline, 17.79 pesos for Premium and 17.05 for diesel.

In this regard, the SHCP said that these prices will vary in each of the 90 regions. The maximum prices for each region are available in the website of the Energy Regulatory Commission.

The increase in gas prices is due to the increase in international fuel prices and does not imply any modification or creation of taxes, said the SHCP.
