Seapal, Puerto Vallarta Hosts a Successful World Water Event

 After an intense and fruitful week, as part of the celebrations of World Water Day, closed with a bang this weekend, with the Conference of journalist Pedro Ferriz de Con, "The Revelation of Water", A Rally for Water and XIII Athletics Race for Water, obtaining a success.

The most important journalist of radio in Mexico, Pedro Ferriz de Con commented exclusively for Vallarta Today before beginning "The Water Apocalypse" conference.

There is international agreement within the United Nations Organization, UNO to advocate the importance of caring for water.  He  mentioned these campaigns have been promoted since the Seventies when urban overpopulation began to increase, especially in regarding human services and mainly the issue of water supply,

The problem is we are not consciously aware of the issues with the water supply.  Each time population increases we are not addressing the need for additional water supply.  We must be responsibly aware of  the lack of water issue to protect and provide for future generations.

Vallarta Today asked what would you like to say to the American and Canadians that live here?

The local gringo population is well aware of the water problem, because the places they come from they pay for the water and they have a water culture.  They know they must take care and make wise use of water.  There are countries like Switzerland where you can not use the toilet after ten o'clock at night, because you make noise, and you can not use more than a certain number of liters of water per person, per day,

Other countries have solved this problem.  Here in Mexico we still need to learn a lot and educate citizens to be smart about taking care of the water.  He also reaffirmed this program is mostly for the Mexican people as the overseas market knows perfectly well what I am talking about.

He then started his successful conference.

Within these festivities, Mr. Cesar Abarca stressed the importance of "renew and strengthen the culture of water", being part of this renewal was given the appointment to Master Yolanda Cuevas as an essential part in the development of one of the principal axes of Seapal, leaving the front of the Coordination of Water Culture Areas and Planning, with the professionalism and enthusiasm that characterize it.

The teacher Yolanda Cuevas served as councilor and was the chairman of the committee of water and wastewater, also his extensive knowledge and experience in the field of education ranks as a fundamental element in the administration of Cesar Abarca.
