It is located on a beach well known for its tradition and culture. This has become a characteristic symbol of the city between 1960 and 1970. was  woodenvery and simple , but by the needs of the development of Puerto Vallarta  the place was built of concrete,  becoming an internationally used, although depth varies with the years, from 4.5 to 6 meters.

Today has use for small boats, as well as being used by local fishermen to launch their ropes and "Tarrayas".
