By the end of the summer season the office of tourism of Puerto Vallarta (FIDETOUR) announced that they are preparing a strong promotion campaign of the city for the winter season or high season not leaving apart September and October.
Marketing manager of Tourism Arturo Galindo explained that previous to apply that program, representatives of (FIDETUOR) traveled to Orlando, FL. To the Executive Association of the United States, where nine groups are interested in Puerto Vallarta for the next couple of years.
The promotion of Puerto Vallarta is planed to start with fourteen seminars in different cities within the United States such as New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Atlanta, Denver, Phoenix, Houston, Dallas, Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, New Port and Orange County where the purpose is to gather around 1600 hundred travel agents.
The presentations of Puerto Vallarta is going to include a DVD, breakfast, and a trade show, in which are going to participate hotels, airlines, tourist services, etc.
Arturo Galindo said that the motive of this seminars overall is to educate travel agents about all that Puerto Vallarta has to offer to the tourist. These actions are focused in order to have a positive impact for the next winter season which is going to begin on the second week of November.
The authorities of local tourism are expecting that this promotion has a bigger impact that the summer season.
