social-tourismThe federal Ministry of Tourism (Sectur), ISSSTE and INFONACOT signed a collaboration agreement for the development and operation of joint projects that promote tourism promotion and development.

The agreement aims to provide financing for the purchase of quality travel packages at low cost among union members.
This was carried out through the use of a catalog of tourist products issued by the Tourism Ministry, and from the credit tools or financial mechanisms that are provided by the National Fund for Worker Consumption and the Institute of Security and Social Services of State Employees, for the workers who are affiliated to INFONACOT, or who are beneficiaries of the ISSSTE, in order to guarantee the best market conditions.
It was signed by the Secretary of Tourism, Claudia Ruiz Massieu, the general directors of the ISSSTE, Sebastian Lerdo de Tejada, and of the INFONACOT, César Alberto Martinez Baranda.
Claudia Ruiz Massieu said that this agreement is intended to boost the domestic market and stressed that thanks to the close collaboration with the private sector of tourism, workers in the service of the state and their families can get to know different national destinations.
"Tourism should not be a privilege of a few, but an activity that all Mexicans can enjoy and make it theirs. Knowing Mexico generates pride for what is ours, it provides us with a space for spending time with our family and friends, and lets us rediscover our traditions and culture. In addition, the ability to travel is a welcome incentive and reward for the millions of Mexicans who make an effort to earn a living", he said.
