GUADALAJARA, JALISCO (24/SEP/2012.) - Former Secretary of Government and former gubernatorial candidate for the PAN, Fernando Guzman Perez Pelaez, and the current attorney general of Jalisco, Tomas Coronado Olmos, are among five people who Notaries Council rejected as candidates to obtain a patent, because it met all the requirements set by the Notaries Act of Jalisco.According to notaries consulted, neither has demonstrated that graduate studies completed. With the attorney also were not found to have requested leave to his public office to be eligible for a patent.
On September 18, the Council held a meeting and submitted for discussion to the opinion which stated that five of the nine applicants did not meet the requirements. Directors endorsed this proposal: with 10 votes in favor and five against, was determined to deny the possibility of presenting the knowledge test to run for the patent.
The Council determined that notaries Fernando Guzman and Thomas Coronado, for the moment could not pursue a patent, but they can do once they meet those requirements.
The Board clarified that no candidate has been endorsed unanimously in the case of Guzman and Coronado, there were enough votes against. The files are sent by the Secretariat General of the Council of Notaries Government, for its 19 members the analyze and deliberating if eligible.
