Nayarit Government Presented the Conference 'Their Bodies, Their Lives' (‘Sus Cuerpos, Sus Vidas’)

Invited by the Institute for women Nayaritas (INMUNAY), Dr. Patricia Olamendi, specialist in issues of gender equality and violence against women, sustained the Conference 'their bodies, their lives,('sus cuerpos, sus vidas’) as part of the commemorative activities of the international day of the Elimination of the violence against women and girls.

The presence of collaborators of various public departments and citizens in general, Patricia Olamendi, who is an expert on mechanisms to prevent, punish and eradicate violence against women, said that talk about development is to evolve in the absence of violations of human rights, discrimination, access to justice and equity.

For his part, Director of the INMUNAY, Mónica Sabrina Sánchez Enríquez, said the organism responsible is working to forced marches, on the instructions of Governor Roberto Sandoval Castañeda, in efforts to eradicate violence.


In addition, she explained that, with the purpose of promoting programs to ensure greater equality for women, the INMUNAY offered advisory legal, psychological and social work, actions that contribute, she said, to a best Nayarit.
