After attending the First Regular Session of the National Commission for Social Development (NCSD), in Mexico City, Secretary of Social Development in Nayarit, Orlando Nieves Jiménez, announced that the Government of the People will strengthen the ties between actions promoted by the Government of the Republic and the work of the municipal governments.
He explained that the Ministry of Social Development in Nayarit coordinate with the municipalities of the state to verify that the federal Resource Fund Contributions for Social Infrastructure (FAIS-Branch 33) is in fact applied in works that improve the quality of life of Nayarit and reduce poverty.
"Before I applied in ornamental things like remodeling a square, a church, the reason for access and now a village, is time to impact poverty indicators, if not, this fund is not authorized; so we will have a great coordination of the People's Government with the Government of the Republic and municipal, to strengthen our social policies, "he said.
According to the law of municipal governments may only use the resource of the fund for drainage, drinking water, access to housing services, ceilings, cement floors, walls, and combat overcrowding with extra rooms in housing.
"This is already in the General Law of Social Development and the Fiscal Coordination Law for the Correct Application of Resources and validated in the National Council of Social Development, together, Government of the People, federal and municipal governments achieve lower poverty that exists in the state, "he said.
SEDESOL reported in Nayarit in coordination with the federal SEDESOL will be trained in the coming weeks all elected mayors of Nayarit to implement adequately the resource for social issues.
