Government of The People Trains Teachers of Indigenous Education

 

In order to improve the education of our indigenous peoples, training was provided to 90 teachers from around the state of primary education, unit, and complete multigrade organization, technical literacy.

The workshop was held at the premises of the Autonomous University of Nayarit in the area of ​​Science and Humanities, "this workshop was fine with me, it's the first time I'm here in the teaching of reading and writing children primary, which encouraged us to have better teaching methodology, "said Abel Ramírez Altamirano, speaker teacher Cora language.

Lepe Enrique Garcia is a specialist consultant in language teaching, which for three years working with indigenous education teachers derived from a project in the state of Nayarit since 2002, which has been expanded to various sectors of the education field mainly is dedicated to the teaching of reading and writing in the first cycle of primary education.

"We take care to advise teachers and give workshops, visited schools to see the progress of how the teachers are working in terms of reading and writing for children in their native language," said Rosa Aguilar Gutiérrez, technical adviser Tepehuana language.

Those involved in this workshop including Enrique Garcia commented advisor satisfaction with the support from the Government of the People and hope that this project continues to grow.

Also the length of time that takes place in this workshop is the holiday period from 21 July to 31 July 2014, in order to respect the normal 200-day minimum school calendar.
