Second teacher demonstration gathered only 500

For the second time since the start of the teachers' resistance movement against the so-called education reform, a group of teachers from Puerto Vallarta protested marching from the facilities of the Integral Port Administration (API) to the Regional Education Service Delegation (Derse) but this time there were less participants and they didn't generate heavy traffic as on the previous occasion on September 25, although they did hamper the traffic flow on the Avenida Prisciliano Sánchez.

The teachers, mostly members of the Democratic Teachers Assembly in Jalisco, say that they are against the "so-called education reform" which to them is a "labor and administrative reform, but not a teaching one" because they believe that it promotes aspects of labor rather than educational ones.

When they got to the Derse facilities, the teachers had a meeting in which they defended their arguments and asked the public to get informed and to join their dissent, with the intention that the federal government "reverses and abolishes the new education laws. "
