The Mayor Receives Chilean Councilors

The mayor, Ramon Guerrero Martinez welcomed the delegation of Chilean councilors who since last Wednesday, are visiting this city as part of the training session and exchange of experiences that they have been having for a few weeks with different municipalities of Jalisco.

The mayor stressed that their visit is an honor for this destination, of which they can know its benefits, natural attractions and the warmth of its people, but also it is a place to share with the city the successful practices in the exercise of government and politics that have allowed them to move on as a country.
"For us it is an example that you come to learn from us, but also come and share your experiences, which I must admit, your country, Chile, is one of the most developed in South America, form which we have much to learn", underlined Guerrero Martínez.

The mayor said that Puerto Vallarta is a tourist destination that was built with the initiative and momentum of its inhabitants and in which the care of the environment, is an important aspect, as it works to be a nature-friendly destination. He also invited these distinguished visitors, to enjoy the city and return to their municipalities with the intention of returning again "we want you to fall in love with our city, we want you to extend or share the experiences that you have lived".

During the meeting, the mayor, along with the president of the DIF, Magaly Fregoso Ortiz, the aldermen and the municipal trustee, recognized each of the Ollahue councilors, Chimbarongo, Sagrada Familia, Santo Domingo, Lautaro and Pozo Almonte, as distinguished guests of Puerto Vallarta, with whom he also exchanged some presents. Also, the Vallartan mayor gave to his counterpart from Chimbarongo, a sculpture representing the destination.
When it was his turn to speak, the president of Chimbarongo, Cosme Mellado, expressed the interest of the community to strengthen its ties with Vallarta, for which he made ​​the formal invitation to Guerrero Martinez to visit his city.

Meanwhile Felix Escobar, of the Chilean company GGlobal, explained the work that for several years is done with officials of that country in terms of training and technical assistance, time in which he said, they have visited much of South America and Mexico for the third time.
He explained that the next visit is already being planned. It will no longer be once, but twice a year, in which they will come to the state of Jalisco and especially to Puerto Vallarta. He said that today they return home as ambassadors of Vallarta and of the various municipalities that they have visited during their stay in this state, like Guadalajara, Tequila and Tlaquepaque.

The meeting was attended by Claudio David Sainz, of the Citizenship Foundation and Strategic Development of the Territory (CIDET), one of the promoters of these activities, as well as the directors of Municipal Tourism, Carlos Gerard Guzmán and of Economic Development, Álvaro Mora Maciel.
