For the sake of Jalisco
The mayor of Zapopan attends the First Report of Activities; applauds public policies that provide Jalisco's youth with opportunities.
The Governor of the State of Jalisco, Jorge Aristóteles Sandoval Díaz, attended the first report of activities of the mayor of Zapopan, Héctor Robles Peiro, where he reiterated his commitment to maintain security efforts and metropolitan coordination.
In his speech, the Governor celebrated that Zapopan is the first municipality of Jalisco, in completing confidence tests in their security personnel, and on this topic he said that he was going to continue working with a lot of responsibility from the State to purge police corporations.
Sandoval Diaz also applauded the efforts of crime prevention that were being made in 29 marginalized colonies of the former Villa Maicera where gang activity has been detected, and spoke of the importance of providing opportunities for the young people of Jalisco, who need opportunities, spaces, education and well-paid jobs to leave behind the figure that indicates that 51 percent of those held in prisons in the state are young people between 18 and 29 years old
In terms of sustainable metropolitan development, the state governor called the mayors of the municipalities of the urban area to work together to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of the capital of Jalisco: "The Metropolitan Area overflowed due to poor planning, saturation of vehicles and the lack of alternative transportation" he recalled, "for which the state government has decisively driven non-motorized mobility, [but] without the participation of the municipalities this effort will be less effective".
Finally he confirmed the support from the State Government to Zapopan, and to all municipalities that contribute to provide welfare to the greatest number of citizens.
