Regent chief Conroy to Step Down

Mark Conroy, who has led Regent Seven Seas Cruises for two decades, will step down as president in January, according to an announcement from Regent's parent company, Prestige Cruise Holdings Inc.

Mark ConroyEffective Jan. 31, Kumal Kamlani will become president of Regent Seven Seas. He continues in his current role as president and COO of Prestige Cruise Holdings.

“Mark is a true professional and respected cruise industry expert who has been the guiding force behind Regent Seven Seas Cruises and its success since the very beginning,” said Prestige Cruise Chairman Frank Del Rio.

Conroy will continue to advise Del Rio and Kamlani in the newly created capacity of executive adviser.

“I’m very much looking forward to my new advisory role and taking a step back from the daily grind and extensive travel associated with running an international cruise line,” Conroy said. “I enter my new role with the confidence that the day-to-day running of the company is in the capable hands of a seasoned team.”

KunalKamlaniWith the shift, Prestige Cruise also announced that Randall Soy has been named executive vice president of sales and marketing. He will report to Kamlani.

Most recently senior vice president of sales, Soy will be directly responsible for all marketing, sales and e-commerce strategies for Regent. Soy is the company’s longest-tenured employee, at more than 22 years.
